Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust emergency departments are experiencing high demand for their services

Accident and emergency is for serious and life-threatening injuries and conditions only, so please think carefully before going to A&E and face what could be a long and unnecessary wait. Many conditions can be seen much more quickly using alternative services. If you’re unsure which NHS service you need to use for a non urgent medical condition, please call NHS 111 or visit your local pharmacy (chemist). Pharmacists are medically trained and can provide appointment free advice.
