Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust emergency departments are experiencing high demand for their services
Accident and emergency is for serious and life-threatening injuries and conditions only, so please think carefully before going to A&E and face what could be a long and unnecessary wait. Many conditions can be seen much more quickly using alternative services. If you’re unsure which NHS service you need to use for a non urgent medical condition, please call NHS 111 or visit your local pharmacy (chemist). Pharmacists are medically trained and can provide appointment free advice.

Our vision is to ensure that the people of North Leeds live in healthy and sustainable communities and experience a better quality of life. We are led by GPs and nurses. We work together with patients, communities and GP practices in north Leeds to ensure that the right NHS services are in place to support people and help improve their health and wellbeing. We call this commissioning.
Making simple changes to your lifestyle could have a huge impact on your health and wellbeing and may help those around you also take greater care of their own health.
We are committed to being an open and transparent organisation, and to sharing our key policies, procedures and meeting minutes with you, making it easier for you to see how we work.
We want to ensure that you are kept up to date with the latest news, events and announcements from your local CCG.
